In this guest post Clint Sabom introduces his thoughts on how to move through Franz Bardon’s Initiation into Hermetics as efficiently as possible.
If you enjoy this guest post, then you may want to look at the following:
My journey through all ten steps on Franz Bardon’s Initiation into Hermetics took me a little over five years to complete. This may seem discouraging to new practitioners, or it could also seem quick to others who have struggled for years and years. For me the key was patience, although not in the way patience is usually talked about as a virtue. It was simply that I enjoyed the ride. I relished each rung of the ladder and experienced great results with each step. There was simply no need to hurry.
With the pore breathing of the elements, I took two years. It was an exercise that fulfilled me deeply. It was previously unknown to me until I encountered Bardon. Before finding Bardon, I had been trained in Christian mysticism while living six months at a Benedictine monastery, where everything was essentially about the Akasha. While having a strong connection to the Akasha, or God, can bring all the elements into proper place, I wasn’t there yet. I needed and wanted to work with the elements directly. I view Initiation into Hermetics as a lifelong path, not something to be completed and stopped, or the skills will weaken and could even expire. As Andre Consciencia stated in my podcast interview with him, once you finish Initiation into Hermetics, do the steps again and do them better.
Steps 4, 5, & 6
Moving forward to the steps included in my course on 4, 5, & 6, there are many confusing difficulties that might arise for the practitioner at this point in the journey. A main barrier could be the Addendum to step 3. It is very ripe with advanced abilities. However, I don’t think it’s necessary to achieve those before moving onto Step 4. In my opinion, Bardon displays those capacities to simply demonstrate what is possible with Initiation Into Hermetics work. In fact, some of it could be considered post-grad work after completing all 10 steps.
Another common problem with completing steps 4, 5, & 6 is self-doubt. In fact, self-doubt is the most common difficulty that I encounter with clients who are working through Initiation Into Hermetics. People question whether or not they’re doing the exercises correctly, whether they’re making progress or not, whether they can even make progress, and all sorts of other anxieties.
It is certainly an understandable problem. Initiation Into Hermetics is intense magical work, and leads to acquiring what could be called paranormal abilities. Undertaking such a big mission will naturally lead to self-doubt and a lack of confidence. However, what I can say in regards to my clients who are plagued with self-doubt is that 95% of the time, the doubt is unfounded if they’re practicing consistently. They are doing the exercises correctly, and they are making progress. They come to me needing validation , and I provide that. Sure, there are times when a more effective strategy with certain steps can be employed, but in general, self-doubt is more a killer of motivation to continue than it is an error in the practitioner’s approach. The key is to just do something everyday, if life circumstances limit one’s practice time. Just keep going. In my course, I demonstrate the approaches that worked for me in completing steps 4, 5, & 6.
One of the big things that helped me was preparation. Before each exercise, I prayed to Divine Providence for 15 minutes to charge with Akasha. Then, I practiced vacancy of mind for 15 minutes, which also helped open the gateway to the Akasha. Another thing that I did was impregnate a glass of water with the autosuggestion intention for success with the exercise. Then, of course, I drank the water.
My class on steps 4, 5, & 6 addresses more difficulties that may arise with this important segment of Initiation Into Hermetics. I go through each component and every rung of the ladder and provide solutions to the challenges. This course is exclusive content, not to be found on my YouTube channel or anywhere else but only here on Perseus Arcane Academy. I hope you enjoy it, and, as always, many blessings to all Bardon practitioners throughout time and space.
